A fountain installation in a 10 x 20 foot reflecting pool at the entrance to the Primary Children's Medical Center, The World of Children consists of several large intermingled forms in which 32 different bronze figures of children ramble about amidst trickles of water and a large spinning water wheel. The space has been designed with seating along the adjacent walls, and it has become a favorite area for parents to bring their children when they are able to leave their rooms. The light-hearted nature of the piece is soothing and entertaining. Viewers linger for a long time as they explore every nook and cranny of the piece and its 32 small bronze figures.
